The Weitzman Institute is pleased to announce the Weitzman Institute Primary Care Awards. These awards recognize teams and organizations that have been innovative leaders in primary care research, translated research, developing health professional training programs, and policy impact.
The application deadline is April 1 and winners will be announced on May 4 during the 2022 Weitzman Virtual Symposium.
Each of the four award recipients will receive $10,000 in recognition of their respective contributions to the field.
Primary Care Practice Impact Award
This award recognizes teams and organizations that have successfully translated research or education efforts into health systems management or clinical practice.
Innovative Research in Primary Care Award
This award recognizes an organization that has been active in primary care research or evaluation in one or more of Weitzman’s priority areas: social determinants of health, health systems optimization, and/or workforce development.
Health Professions Education and Training Award
This award recognizes an organization whose initiatives have developed and enhanced education and training programs for health professionals in safety-net settings.
Primary Care Policy Impact Award
This award recognizes an organization that has demonstrated excellence in leading initiatives that have resulted in a clear impact on policy decisions, practice, and discourse affecting safety-net clinical practices and populations.
